Season 11, themed “Show Ya Sef,” kicked off tonight with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu hosting for the ninth consecutive season — and 24 housemates walking into Biggie’s house to compete for the biggest prize in the show’s history: ₦160 million, including ₦100 million cash and a brand new SUV. Seventy-one days. One winner.
The lineup this season is interesting. We have streamers, choreographers, pharmacists, civil engineers, a writer who “doesn’t believe in love,” and a woman in her thirties who says she has no time for romance or liars. The range is wide, and the personalities are already loud. Here’s your full breakdown, and the ones worth watching.
The ones who announced themselves immediately
Tram, 24, is a streamer from Lagos who entered with one agenda: winning. No romance. No distractions. No apologies. The kind of energy that either carries someone deep into the game or makes them a target within the first week. We’ve seen both outcomes in this house before.
Abi, 25, is a model and chef who called herself “sweet” and “a total powerhouse.” She entered wearing her wedding ring; her husband initially opposed her participation but eventually gave his support. A married housemate is always a storyline waiting to happen. Watch this space.
Chimsom Chuka, 27, is a pharmacist and actor from Anambra State who says he handles pressure “like it’s nothing” and is bringing “physical strength and mental smartness. The pharmacist-to-actor pipeline is not something we see every day. He either backs that up or doesn’t.
Gerard, 23, is a Lagos-based on-air personality already labelled the house’s “wild card” by organisers. He says he’s an open book who hates dishonesty and plans to “live every moment to the fullest.” Every season has a wild card. Gerard has claimed the title before the game even started, which is either brilliant branding or a curse.
The ones with interesting angles
Ricky, 33, from Port Harcourt, is a writer who describes himself as a “bad boy by necessity.” He says he finds love exciting but doesn’t subscribe to it. At 33, he’s one of the older housemates this season and carries that “been around” energy. A writer in the BBNaija house is almost always quotable. For better or worse.
Araga is a fashion model who calls himself “the last loverboy standing in Nigeria.” He’s in it for the money, the energy, and the possibility of love, in that order. The confidence is noted. Whether it’s justified is the show’s job to find out.
Bells, 22, is resilient, independent, a rule follower, a neat freak, and still in love with her high school sweetheart. That last detail is the most interesting one. Someone already in love entering a house designed to manufacture romantic tension? That’s a storyline.
Aikou, 25, from Abuja, is a freelance teacher and web developer, calm, outspoken, comfortable alone, single, and says he’s ready to fall in love again. A web developer in the BBNaija house is rare energy. He also reportedly said he wants to win the ₦160 million for his Egyptian girlfriend, which is already the most specific thing anyone has said this season.
Goddessa, 30, is a musician from Abia State who is spontaneous, bold, unafraid to stand out, and has zero interest in romance or liars. Thirty, a musician, has no time for love and no patience for dishonesty. She’s either the most focused person in that house or the first to have a dramatic confrontation. Possibly both.

Temi Nkem, 21, raised in London, is bringing confidence and strategy. Martins is a visual storyteller who plans to bring “pride and authenticity.” Kamsy, 24, is an event planner who promises chaos, mystery, and drama, and says forgiveness doesn’t come easily to her. Sultex, 24, is a dancer and choreographer from Lagos, ambitious and direct, whose relationship status is listed as “complicated.”
Flora is a makeup entrepreneur who calls herself fashionable, honest, and full of spice. Oyin, 22, from Sagamu, is a sales entrepreneur and model, a self-described “daddy’s girl” ready to prove first impressions wrong. Sheba is a gym enthusiast and proud mother entering with warmth and an open heart.
Nomy, 26, is a fashion designer from Anambra who believes in quiet hustle over loud promises. Barry, 26, is a civil engineer and fashion designer from Abuja, competitive, stylish, zero tolerance for disrespect. Neche, 25, is entering with “brains, beauty and bundles.”
Yusuf, 25, from Kogi State, is an actor and confessed lover of romance, hoping to add “Loverboy” to his title. Bluethophia, 22, is a photographer, model and student from Adamawa State with quiet confidence and sharp instincts. Cassi, 27, from Abia State, is an entrepreneur and actor who also does chiropractic therapy, and admits being overly organised might work against him.
Mercedes, 26, from Delta State, is a massage therapist and concierge CEO.
First impressions verdict
Twenty-four people. Seventy-one days. A married woman. A writer who doesn’t believe in love. A wild card who named himself. A web developer saving up for his Egyptian girlfriend. A musician with zero patience for romance. A loverboy from Kogi. A choreographer with a complicated relationship status.
